As an artist, I try to make space: space to be able to see, hear and feel what lives above, on and below the surface. To let that come to the surface I sometimes choose to assume the role of spectator by making landscapes and street photography, participate by working and moving with dancers and sometimes as a subject by pointing the camera towards myself or by capturing my feelings in words and music.
It is this versatility that defines me on the one hand and that I also use to, on the other hand, to show that everyone has this versatility within themselves. That palette of colours that makes you you.
To do so I am telling stories and show work in series, I built a virtual museum in which you can go exploring yourself or write poems and songs that will take you on a journey. Making work that leaves space to have a conversation with the work itself, who I am or what you feel inside.
Having conversations on their own is also something that has become part of my practice by travelling, discovering and meeting people and recording those conversations in the form of a podcast.
